2016 Progress
2016 was when I started work on the chassis. I cut up a Fiero chassis to stretch it to the correct wheelbase, and I put the body onto it to start measuring the lengths for the frame add-ons. This was also when I used a scale model to try and get window frame angles. In my opinion, if the window frame did not look at sit correct, the entire car would look off. The end of 2016 was also when I first ordered my first set of reproduction parts which was a complete nightmare experience. I ordered the air grilles, the rear taillight housings and covers, and the metal inserts for the headlights. It took me a couple of years to get most of the parts I paid for after hounding the guy for them. It was a reason I had stopped working on the car since parts are hard to come by and thoughts of dealing with that person again made me feel sick. However, I have since decided to let it go and build using alternative parts instead of exact reproductions.
