I don't understand

I ask, in what world is it okay for a person to completely fuck up in all conceivable ways of being a parent for their kids, over and over again, including abandoning them by trying to take their own life, and still think they have any right to see them whenever they want to? And have the gall to say any change to the parenting plan, including enforcing mental health treatment, is going to be fought tooth and nail, which carries with it a risk of it going the other way. If it was me, I would have been handed my walking papers after just a snide comment. What a fucking world.

Did a little bit of this and that this month. Mostly, I've been working on installing a new pellet stove in my Garage, which meant tearing out old crap and installing new crap. Kind of a PITA on the clearances to walls, but you can't beat $1 a day to heat the garage with easy start and shut off. I needed to put in a new outlet, but that is par for the course in this house anyway, so I took the opportunity to add a new one. On the car itself, I routed wires and finally bought all hardware adapters for the brake lines. I installed the EFI control module and located the fuel tank at the front. I am currently trying to think of were to put the radiator I have. The plan originally was to buy new tanks and cooling system, but I switched to trying to use what I already have first, at least to get the car running and moving. Later I can swap it all out if I want to. These first pics are from when I permanently bolted the rear suspension assembly to the frame right at the new year.   ...

Blast From the Past

I thought these would be fun to post. Just some pics I found and digitized.   Me sitting inside KITT at Universal Studios early 1980's   Me in my second car, a 1976 Chevy Nova   My fourth car sitting in the driveway, a 1967 Pontiac Firebird   Learning how to rebuild an engine in my Dad's driveway. I just realized I still have that hammer with the yellow handle!   My buddy Ethan helped me out in taking the engine apart. He also helped me during start up and we both discovered the joys of a distributor installed 180 degrees off. There's that hammer again.   This is the Firebird after it's paint job. This was around 2000 after I quit the body shop, but went back for this after the paint arrived. No hammer in this pic.

This month I completed boxing in the cab area floor and walls. I then ordered and installed the new gas pedal. Not sure if I will use a single control cable or use a system of bell cranks and rods to control the throttle. Some bell crank assembly pics I took as this was my first idea for the throttle linkage. I also bought new universal door hardware to use for all the doors on the car. I worked a bit on the exhaust system. I was pretty intimidated by this step, which is why I put it off for so long, but it was actually a nice distraction from other car stuff I was getting bored doing (chassis work). Next, we turned the car around in the driveway and backed it up into the garage. This was to simplify the engine installation. To locate TDC for the cap and rotor, I had to take off one valve cover, and pretty much destroyed it taking it off, due to the very liberal application of sealer at the factory, so I had to buy a new set. Yay. I am replacing the carb with a new EFI kit from MSD, fo...
